Take an exciting three-day tour to the capital of Ukraine - Kyiv. It’s one of the most ancient cities in all Eastern Europe known as "the mother of all Rus cities" and as a cradle of Slavonic civilization.
Day 1: Arrival in Kyiv.
Meeting at the airport and transfer to the city.
Hotel check-in (not earlier than 14:00).
Half-day day sightseeing tour of Kyiv during which you will see the most famous and beautiful sites – Vladimir’s Cathedral, the Golden Gates, National Opera and Ballet Theatre, and National University,
The tour includes visiting St. Sophia’s Cathedral- one of the biggest preserve-museums in Ukraine, which was built XI century in the times of Yaroslav the Wise included in the UNESCO world heritage, Mikhailovsky Gold-domed Cathedral, Kreschatik central city street, and observing the view at Dnipro river and one of the oldest Kyiv districts Podil from the sightseeing place near Druzhby Narodiv Arch and others.
Overnight at one of downtown 3* hotels.
Day 2: City Tour
After breakfast at the hotel, we have a walking tour to Kyiv-Pechersk Caves Monastery (Lavra), standing on the picturesque hills of the Dnipro River. It is one of the most interesting architectural and historical monuments in Ukraine. This monastery is called Lavra as it looks like a small monastic city that is governed by clearly defined laws and procedures of monastic life. Besides of panoramic tour in Kyiv Pechersk Preserve you will visit caves with mummies of monks.
In the afternoon you can have one of 2 walking tours of your choice (the tour is included in the program):
- Walking city tour “Pechersk pearls” Pechersk is an old aristocratic part of Kyiv. During the tour, you will observe Mariinskiy Palace, “Chocolate” House, the National Philharmonic House, Klovskiy Palace, and House with Chimeras and will hear a lot of interesting facts about these and other famous Pechersk houses and their inhabitants.
Walking city tour “Old Podil”.The tour to St. Andrew’s Church a striking piece of baroque architecture of XVIII c. built according to the designs of well-known architect B.Rastrelli on the top of Vladimir’s Hill. Andriivskyi Uzviz (Descent) which starts from St. Andrew’s Church will impress you with its unique atmosphere.
It is a short street meandering down through the luxuriant vegetation of Vladimir’s Hill to the picturesque Podil. Numerous art galleries and shops of folk and applied art make this romantic street the cultural center of Kyiv.
